Communication Department

The Communication Department supports the public presence, development, and foundation of the Student Council at TUM Campus Heilbronn. Our key goals and achievements are in establishing communication infrastructures, facilitating collaborations with internal and external partners, improving student engagement, and ensuring effective information dissemination within the student body.

What We Do #

Communication Infrastructure & Platforms #

• Manage and establish key IT infrastructure, including Moodle, Matrix, and TUM Fachschaft e-mail accounts.
• Create and maintain the official Student Council website.
• Implement and manage payment tools like Pretix for event ticket sales.
• Manage the Student Council Room, including access and interior planning.
• Create and manage new WhatsApp groups for improved student outreach.

Student Engagement & Information #

• Ensure effective information dissemination to all students.
• Supervise the creation of the Student Manual (Erstiguide) for new students.
• Support the development of Group Chat Rules for official WhatsApp groups.
• Appoint and support trusted student contacts to help new students adapt.
• Enable free access to Canvas Premium for students.

Collaboration & Partnerships #

• Initiate and maintain collaborations with internal and external partners like Wissensstadt e.V., the University Administration, and HHN/AStA.
• Conduct regular exchanges with the MGT and CIT Schools in Munich.
• Reach out to potential sponsors for future collaborations.
• Work with the Student Service Point to support student initiatives and the founding of clubs.

Internal & Event Support #

• Support the formal establishment and organizational structure of the Student Council.
• Assist in the organization and planning of major events like the Semester Opening Party and Ersti-Woche (Freshers’ Week).
• Contribute to key campus projects like the TUM Shop Heilbronn.
• Work with all Student Council departments to ensure effective information flow.
